How to run it on Zoom
- 1Open remotequiz.co/host, pick Quick (3 questions) or Standard (10), and the room opens with a join code and a QR code.
- 2In Zoom, choose Share Screen and pick the Remote Quiz window. Your team sees the QR code to scan on the call (or just share the link or code in the chat).
- 3Players go to remotequiz.co/join on their phone, type the code and a name, and they're in. Scanning the QR works too.
- 4Press start. Each question runs for 20 seconds, the answer reveals when everyone has answered, and the board updates after every round.
Why it works well on Zoom
- Nothing to install. Zoom guests on a free plan, on a phone, or dialling in from a browser can all join.
- Phones are the buzzers. Players answer on their own device, so the shared screen stays clean and there is no fumbling with Zoom's chat or reactions.
- The host can play too. Take a seat from the host screen and compete alongside the team.
- It fits the meeting. Standard takes about ten minutes and Quick is three questions for a warm-up. Run one at the end of a weekly call or as a Friday wind-down.

- Two minutes: share the screen, everyone joins.
- Ten minutes: a Standard game of ten questions, drawn at random from every themed pack.

Zoom quiz FAQ
Do players need Zoom on their phone?
No. They stay on the call on whatever device they're using and answer in a browser tab on their phone or laptop.
Does it work in breakout rooms?
Yes. Each breakout room's host can open their own room at remotequiz.co/host. The quiz is separate from Zoom, so any group with the room code can play.
How many people can join?
Three players per room for free, or up to 24 for a month once the host buys a coffee. Larger teams can split into rooms and compare winning scores.
Is it really free?
Yes for rooms of up to three, with no accounts and no signup. Bigger rooms cost the host one coffee a month, which keeps the servers running.
